Seattle Convention Center events in 2027, month by month, and when to book

If you've ever tried to find a room near the Seattle Convention Center during a big show, you know the pattern. Prices jump, the closest hotels sell out months ahead, and the remaining options are across the lake or out by the airport. The fix is simple: know which weeks are busy, and book early for those dates. Here's our month-by-month view of 2027, built only from dates the organizers have published. We'll update it as more dates are confirmed.

Note: dates were taken from each organizer's official site in October 2026. Events do move, so always confirm on the organizer's site before you book travel.

January: a quieter month, with home and trade shows

January is one of the calmer months downtown, which makes it a good time for business travel and for families visiting the First Hill hospitals. Weekday trade and professional meetings keep the Convention Center busy, but the very large fan events haven't started yet. If your dates are flexible, January and early February are usually the easiest weeks to find a two-bedroom near the Center.

February: boats and gardens

  • Seattle Boat Show: February 5–13, 2027. Held at the Lumen Field Event Center, with boats afloat at Bell Harbor Marina on the waterfront (seattleboatshow.com). It isn't at the Convention Center, but nine days of visitors still fill downtown. Lumen Field is about 1.4 mi (≈30 min walk) from our building.
  • Northwest Flower & Garden Festival: February 17–21, 2027, in the Convention Center's Arch building (gardenshow.com). The Arch building is about a 6-minute walk from us, so you can easily go back between sessions to drop off plant purchases.

March: the busiest stretch of spring

  • Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC): March 4–7, 2027, at the Seattle Convention Center (emeraldcitycomiccon.com). ECCC fills both Summit and Arch and draws tens of thousands of fans. It's one of the hardest weekends of the year to find a room close to the Center. If you're coming, book as soon as your plans are firm.
  • Sakura-Con: March 26–28, 2027 (sakuracon.org). Sakura-Con says it uses all three Convention Center buildings: Arch at 705 Pike, Arch at 800 Pike, and Summit. For 2027, registration is in the Summit building.
  • Cruise season begins. The Port of Seattle's preliminary 2027 schedule starts in late March. From then on, weekends also bring cruise passengers looking for a pre-cruise night downtown (see our cruise guide).

For groups, cosplay crews and families, March is when a two-bedroom apartment earns its keep. Getting a washer and dryer, a kitchen and two separate bedrooms in one booking is hard to match with hotel rooms during ECCC.

April to June: conferences and cruise weekends

Spring and early summer bring a steady run of professional, medical and technology conferences to the Convention Center. Specific dates vary by organization, so check your event's site. Alaska cruise departures run most weekends through this period, and downtown gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights. If your conference ends on a Friday, consider booking that night early: that's often when cruise travellers arrive.

July and August: peak visitor season

Summer is Seattle's high season for leisure travel, with long daylight hours, the waterfront and day trips to the mountains. Cruise departures continue every week, and conventions keep running. Expect higher demand across downtown. Families who plan to see Pike Place Market (about 0.72 mi, ≈15 min walk from us) and the Space Needle (about 1.3 mi, ≈28 min) appreciate having a kitchen to cut down on restaurant meals.

September: PAX West

  • PAX West: September 3–6, 2027, across the Summit and Arch buildings (west.paxsite.com). PAX West runs over the Labor Day weekend, and show hours run until midnight on most days. Staying about five minutes' walk from both buildings means no late-night ride queues. Book early: PAX weekend is in the same league as ECCC for demand near the Center.

October: cruise season winds down

The Port's preliminary 2027 schedule runs into mid-October. Autumn brings more professional conferences back to the Center, and after the cruise season the waterfront quietens down. Late October and November are typically good value for business trips.

November and December: holiday downtown

Downtown Seattle's retail core around Westlake Center (about 0.44 mi, ≈9 min walk) gets busy with holiday shoppers. The Paramount Theatre, about 4 minutes from our building, hosts shows through the winter. The calendar for large conventions is generally lighter, which can mean easier availability, apart from holiday weekends.

How to use this calendar

  1. Find your event's exact dates on the organizer's site.
  2. Check our availability for those nights on the Vacation Rentals page. Big-show weekends book up first.
  3. Pick the layout that fits your group:
  • Lumière 2BR: up to 6 guests, in-unit washer and dryer
  • Two-Bath 2BR: up to 6 guests, two bathrooms, in-unit washer and dryer
  • Top-Floor 2BR: up to 5 guests, skyline views, shared laundry room on the 2nd floor
  1. Book direct for 10% off our nightly rate and a flat $120 cleaning fee.

A note on "event pricing"

Rates near the Convention Center rise on the busiest weekends everywhere, and ours are no exception. What we can promise is clarity. The price you see at checkout includes the cleaning fee. The $300 card pre-authorization is placed one day before arrival and released after checkout. It's a hold, not a charge.
